The day comprised 4 visits. 1. Llyn Llech Owain. This related to the story of how the lake was formed involving Owain Law Goch and his links to Bordeaux fighting for the French Army. 2. Kidwelly. The memorial to Princess Gwenllian who led her army into battle against the army of Maurice de Londres in 1136. She was defeated and executed by de Londres along with one of her sons. 3. Maes Gwenllian (near Kidwelly) where the actual battle took place.
4. Llanelli Railway Station. This was the location of the railway workers strike and uprising in 1911. It resulted in the British Army being deployed with several casualties..
