Competition Terms and Conditions (English)
An age range will be specified for each Competition.
Competitions will be listed on the ‘Available Competitions’ page of the website (Children’s Section).
New competitions will also be announced on the Society’s ‘Announcements’ and Facebook pages.
All entries must be submitted via the secure Owain Glyndŵr Website (Children’s Section) Competitions page and attaching your document by the closing date specified for the relevant competition.
All submissions must be the author’s own work and previously unpublished.
All rights remain with the author; however, The Owain Glyndŵr Society reserves the right to publish the winner of each competition on the ‘Past Winners’ page of the website (Children’s Section). You cannot withdraw your entry after the closing date.
Entries will not be returned, and the Judges’ decision is final.
All document file(s) submitted for the competition must be in Word ‘doc/docx’ format, ‘Arial’ font size 12, and written in English.
All Photo file(s) submitted for the competition must be in ‘jpeg/jpg’ or ‘png’ format.
You must not include your name/alias (or anything else which could possibly identify you) on the documents you submit, otherwise your entry will be disqualified.
Entries will be judged anonymously. Canvassing for any entry is forbidden and will result in that entry being disqualified.
Please ensure all your document pages are numbered sequentially. When making your entry online you can, if you choose, include a brief biography of yourself (maximum of 40 words in the first person i.e I am… etc) in the ‘Comments’ section of the entry form. Do not include your name, location or anything else that can help to identify you.
When the judges’ adjudication is complete the author’s identity will then be revealed to the judges.
The Society will then contact the winner to make arrangements to present a prize and gather suitable information for adding the winning entry to the ‘Past Winners’ page of the website (Children’s Section).
The winner will also be announced on the Society’s ‘Announcements’ and Facebook pages.
